Wooden seated statue of Buddha of Sangwonsa Temple

After King Sejo, had his skin disease treated while he was staying at Sangwonsa Temple, princess Eui-Sook(a daughter of the King) and her husband, Hyunjo Jung, created a wooden statue to express their gratitude to the Buddha. In 1984,23 Buddhist relics were found inside of the statue and were designated as treasure No.793.
Bronze Bell of Sangwonsa Temple(National treasure No.36)
It was cast in the 24th year of King Seongdeok, 725 A.D.
The sound of the bell is the clearest and loveliest among all traditional Korean bells. On the surface of the bell, Gonghu and Saenghwang, flying angels playing traditional Korean flutes, are beautifully engraved in relief.
